AGRC has received and processed digital parcel GIS data from 27 of 29 Utah counties within the last month. The 2010 parcel data is now available from the State Geographic Information Database (SGID) ArcSDE database server and in shapefile and file geodatabase formats on the SGID ftp site.
The AGRC Cadastral Group, under Utah Code 63F-1-506, is tasked with coordinating "with county recorders and surveyors to create a statewide parcel layer in the State Geographic Information Database containing:
- parcel boundary,
- parcel identifier,
- parcel address,
- owner type, and
- county recorder contact information"
Currently the goal of this effort is to update each county's parcel data layer in the SGID annually for use as a general mapping reference. Since not all counties have finished complete digital parcel coverage and counties have their own information systems, users should expect variation in the datasets among counties. Note: Data users interested in more current parcel data or in a more rich set of parcel attributes (including owner name, valuation, structure information, etc) are encouraged to contact directly the Recorder's or Surveyor's office in the county(ies) of interest. Counties updated this week are shown in bold below (click the red Read more link below if necessary): |
